PILATES:

Pilates Classes:

Designed for the dance student, this class will emphasize the fundamentals of the Pilates method and its benefits for those who dance. Exercises to lengthen the spine, provide core stabilization and achieve greater dexterity of motion will be taught. Dance students will also learn the benefits of Pilates in prevention of injury, toning and lengthening of muscle groups and attainment of proper axial alignment.

       Pilates Mat Classes:
 
       

Designed for the adult student as well as dancers, this one and half hour class will utilize a series of progressive, set exercises to demonstrate the fundamentals of the Pilates method. Each class will begin with a thorough warm up followed by lengthening and toning exercises based on the principles of core stabilization. All classes will conclude with a sequence of relaxation techniques.

- Levels: Beginner through Adult

- Ages: 13 to Adult

 

Pilates Dress Code

Leotards, convertible tights or footless, any form-fitting top and pants permitted. No T-Shirts. No Jewelry.

Hair: Long hair pulled into ponytail. Short hair pulled neatly off the face.

Shoes:
None, bare feet required.
